Make Your Wichita Marketing Effort More Like Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory

OK, yo, what’s not to like about Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory? He hangs out with his buddies all day, he designs skate shoes and boards, he invites celebrities over to play, and he gets to give back to the community. Sound like fun? Well, maybe you ought to consider following his example! It’s even more fun when you share your zany exploits via social media.
For instance, check out the fun that ensued when Rob and wrestling hall of famer Rowdy Roddy Piper teamed up to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Pay special attention to the 6:40 mark, when Rob launches himself from a skateboard ramp and takes out his opponent.
Today, I got to do one of my favorite things: Bring on another entrepreneurial-minded young person as an intern in our small business. And once again, the most important thing we discussed was the immense blessing that comes with making a living doing what you love. Rob Dyrdek does that every day! And you can, too.
Here are some thoughts about how to do it:
1.) Have fun! As often as possible, every day, do fun stuff. Tell jokes. Play practical jokes. Be silly! Check out this footage for some ideas. Hey, if nothing else, you’ll make your coworkers laugh at you. It’s great for morale.
2.) Do something nice for somebody. Then tell someone about it. Post it on Facebook. Set a good example. At the very least, you’ll feel fantastic about doing something nice.
3.) Do something amazing for your business. Stop what you’re doing and come up with a new idea for how to promote your business. Rob Dyrdek does it all the time. Many times, it’s just him and his buddies doing silly things and having fun. Things like putting a heavy metal band on a truck and driving up and down the streets.
So, do yourself a favor and watch Rob’s show on MTV and take a lesson.
